Evergreen Recovery Centers’ new Family Services Center building is dedicated to supporting pregnant women and new mothers dealing with substance use disorder. The groundbreaking facility offers comprehensive long-term treatment and temporary housing, uniquely combining treatment for infants born addicted to opioids with a specialized long-term treatment center for mothers, a first in the nation. Located in a three-story building, the center features 18 studio-style housing units, five pediatric units, an early learning center, and expansive play areas.

In collaboration with Bushnaq Studios, AGD designed the two-level licensed childcare facility with rooms for infants and toddlers; indoor and outdoor play; and spaces for teachers and administrators. Classrooms are designed to be flexible for all ages, allowing for the transient nature of the population. The design emphasizes a nurturing environment with a large indoor play area, a sculptural and playful stair connecting the two levels, and adjacent outdoor play spaces, ensuring a supportive setting for both treatment and child development.
